Summary: Meemaw and Meemaw Math respect your privacy. Your learning progress, mistake notebook, and Screen Time rules stay on your device. We never sell data or use advertising trackers.
1. Introduction
Meemaw (Dictation & Spelling) and Meemaw Math (Mental Math, Automatismes & Brevet) are educational apps built with privacy as a core priority. This policy explains how your information is handled across both apps.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Both Meemaw and Meemaw Math run locally on your iPhone or iPad and store:
- Your exercise progress, scores, mistake notebook, and preferences locally on your device
- Leaderboards, achievements, and challenge scores via Apple Game Center (managed by Apple's secure infrastructure under your Apple ID)
3. Screen Time & Parental Control (Apple FamilyControls)
If you choose to enable the optional Screen Time Reward feature ("Contrôle Parental / Temps d'écran"), our apps use Apple's privacy-preserving FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks:
- App selection tokens are opaque system tokens managed exclusively by iOS on your device.
- We cannot see which specific apps you use or block, and no Screen Time data ever leaves your device.
- Parental PIN codes are stored locally in the encrypted iOS Keychain on your device.
4. Speech Recognition
When using voice input, Meemaw uses Apple's built-in Speech Recognition framework. Voice data processing is handled securely by your device's operating system in accordance with Apple's privacy policies.
5. Anonymous Product Analytics (GDPR / EU Hosted)
To improve exercise difficulty and app stability, we collect strictly anonymous, aggregated usage events (such as completed exercise counts and onboarding steps) via Mixpanel EU (data residency in the European Union). We do not collect your name, email, IP address, IDFA, or cross-app advertising identifiers, and we never display third-party ads.
6. In-App Purchases
If you choose to purchase Meemaw PRO or Meemaw Math PRO (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime), the transaction is processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We use RevenueCat solely to validate anonymous Apple purchase receipts and unlock your PRO status across devices. We do not have access to your name, payment card details, or billing address.
